Up on the Land

The sun came out down here yesterday afternoon, and most of the snow melted. Not so up on the land.

There the temperature started in the mid-40s and dropped down to the mid-20’s before Andy left. The snow will melt soon, just not as fast as down here at 7200′.

amazing what a little higher altitude does.
but it’s giving a nice gentle moisture.
I read that the green is beginning to appear in all the blackened areas of the California fires. one survivor of it said it’s odd to see all the straight black dead trees standing in what appears to be green grass for miles!
you and Andy know that look all to well!

  2. Spring has arrived with bang—and so has the dry weather! It looks like we are in for another dry summer, so that means giving up on plants in my small garden that need to be constantly watered, and planting something more practical!
