Watching the Weather

Andy has been watching the weather forecasts to see if he might be snowed out from the land again. It may very well happen — the forecast is for between 17 and 28 inches between now and Friday.

But yesterday the problem wasn’t snow — he didn’t get up there until around 1 pm because the wind had blown down trees across the road. He didn’t take before pictures, but here are a couple of after ones showing what the trees had looked like:

He didn’t clear off all of the last one — he didn’t know if there would be even more to tackle, so he cleared just enough to drive around it and planned to finish the job today.

Fingers crossed for him!

Seems like he’s forever battling those dead trees!
    Fingers crossed!

too bad you can’t get in touch with logging companies who would be willing to cull at least the sides of that road where the trees fall across it. lots of free wood for them just to clean a nice SAFE wide swath on both sides! a win win for all concerned!
would that it were that easy huh? πŸ˜€

    • Jean says:

The wood is rotten, which is why the trees are falling. Logging companies weren’t interested right after the fire because the bark was black and economically unfeasible. πŸ™

That’s a lot of work for sure, and then with all that snow – wowzers, Andy will be very busy.

Oh, man, that looks like a gargantuan task! But I’m sure Andy is up to it!

That’s a lot of snow you’ve got coming. Good luck with that on top of having to clear trees out of your road.

  7. Oh my that’s a lot of snow. Hope the forecast is wrong
