I don’t know what the otter is reacting to, but it expresses itself well. Have you said “ew!” lately? I suppose some of our big “ews” are the shots Andy has to get in his eyes for macular degeneration. We went to Santa Fe for one this morning, and he was only in there for about an hour and thirty-five minutes. In the bad old days it was usually at least two hours, once almost three, so no complaints. We were back in time for lunch and so he could drive up to the land to prepare things for the changing weather tomorrow. That’s a lot more fun.

Love this picture. The last time I said ew was to Gibbs. That dog has some nasty gas…lol
A shot in the eye sounds horrible.
Es! That’s too bad about Gibbs. The shots don’t hurt, and they’re saving Andy’s vision…we’re grateful about that.
That “EW” comes out of me when I have to walk by some of the neighbors’ trash bins on pickup day:)
I can understand that!
that otter says it all.
just the thought of Andy going through that always makes me shudder.
It’s a lot better than going blind, so we’re grateful they work.
It sounds just awful, but they likely put those numbing drops in so he doesn’t feel it. That is a LOT of time to wait for a quick shot!
They do sanitize and numb the eye first. He figures about 10% of the time is for his treatment, the other 90% is just waiting for them to get to him.
My husband has had a lot of things go wrong with his eyes. And believe me, some of the procedures needed, were very Eeeeeeeew!!!!!
Best wishes to your husband. ‘Tis no fun….
Thanks! Best wishes to you and your husband too.
Now, a shot in the eye (numbing or not) makes me wanna go “ew”!!
Yes, but a LOT better than the old days when people went blind.
a visit like that would not only be EW but OW! the shot scares me silly and I would also not like to have to wait with bob that long. he does not wait well
Andy’s very patient waiting. I’m good for about two hours…after that I start getting restless. (I always bring things to play with.)
I wonder if that’s the expression first-year medical students make when told they have to administer shots in someone’s eye.
Pretty sure that’s how I look when I have to touch raw chicken.
I’m with you, it’s been a long time since I’ve touched raw chicken. I buy it cut up and put it in the cooking dish with forks.
Now, that expression could mean something good is in the wind.
Maybe we’re being too pessimistic in the interpretation?
Or, as your first commenter said, it could mean something bad was in the wind! :^D
😀
Just the other day drove past a skunk that had been hit…EW! That smell was strong!
I haven’t smelled a skunk in a long time. Kaitlin, Torben and the pups have smelled quite a few in the past.
