I’m for hugs in whatever form they come. Down here today it’s overcast and below freezing out. I don’t have a beautiful fireplace like Zoe does, but a good heater, a snuggly sweater, and streaming heartwarming videos works too.

…probably my comfort is food first, then a snuggle on the couch with a good movie to watch
Movies help a lot. They get us into new environments without having to leave the house.
my comfort food is popcorn. the smell of it first! and then holding the warm bowl and munching away while watching a favorite movie. I will be watching a Hallmark one tonight called Maggie’s Christmas Miracle. I love it and catch it every time it’s shown. I’m spending all day excitedly waiting for it!
I just never tire of some of them!
and Hygge is a wonderful concept. especially now when we’re best at home. (and Zoe is so smart! just snoozin’ there in the fire’s glow!) .

Love Zoe’s life style. The photo warms my heart.
She’s a lucky pup. The main reason for getting that particular house was it had a huge back yard for the pups. And it’s out in the country with a lot of walks in the woods…they all love that.
How about a warm soft sweater, a good book, a hot cup of tea, a tasty scone, and some pups at my feet:)

I, too, love hugs … and sure miss getting ‘n giving. Meanwhile! One or both of our dogs atop my lap — and a glass of Cabernet — never fails to warm my heart.

I love hugs as well, and I’ve had 2 in the last week here at home…from people who understand how much a hug means.
As for Hygge, I’ve come realise that I just love being here…particularly since I upgraded bits of my life including my bed 🙂 and I love to sleep in it, get out and dressed, make it up in it’s semi-finery and then lay on it whenever I care too…it’s like being next to a cosy fire (that I don’t have).
Earlier today, it felt just like a quite Sunday…many people around here to go work but it was just about silent other than bird life AND THEN suddenly there was crashing and banging: garbage & recycle truck/s in the street….
Gadzooks! What a nuisance. But I suppose not as bad as if they didn’t collect the garbage. 😉
This looks so cozy! Are they dedicated dog beds? I like wearing comfy cozy clothes and sipping a hot drink.
Yes, they have at least two of them. There is occasional discussion about whether the pups are spoiled, but the pups are sure they’re not.
Looks like Zoe has the best seat in the house.
A hot cup of coffee and a warm blanket does it for me.

we have a living Hygge, his name is Beau… he is our top hygge.. I would love to hygge Zoe.. but you know that. cozy things like lights and warmth on a cold day give lots of hygge.. i love this word…

If you want to find me relaxed, that is often watching youtube videos…most times about quilting, or sewing/craft room ours, and usually a few animal videos thrown in, and maybe some Jeanne Robertson.
And if I am trying to settle down to sleep, I often watch some old shows that I have about memorized…
whatever I am watching, at least half the time, you will see a cat in my lap. Sometimes two.
I love the image of the cats. They know how to snuggle and get warm. 🙂
How do we create hygge? Crank up the central heating and cuddle up to each other in front of a feel-good TV movie.
