Time to Celebrate!

The temperature in my bedroom got down to less than 70°F for two nights in a row now. I don’t know if that will last, and I have handled this past month or so well. But I do sleep a lot better when it’s cooler, and that’s worth celebrating.

How are you doing?

  1. great news for you

here, well it’s been a bit mixed – twice today I was drizzled upon and then somehow made it inside a building before it hosed down! And then the sun came out – go figure…

i am doing a post on HEAT, last night at 2 am it was still 101 and at 5 it was 86, and going back up. the heat has for the first time ever sapped our energy to the point our walk is almost a crawl. when we get back to the house, i give Beau 2 ice cubes and I get in the shower cold water only. the cold water feels warm, getting out into ac helps me cool down. this is day 4 of this and more for the next 4 days

Your below 70* temp sounds wonderful!
Either I’m growing accustomed to this sticky weather — or weary of griping. Like Sandra, I’m enjoying cool showers mid-day. Also, at bedtime I put the ceiling fan on ‘high’ have moved the cooling ‘tower’ into my bedroom.

I am glad for our air conditioning for sure. I have always needed it really cool to sleep. Hurrah for your better temps!

That’s wonderful. I’ve gotten pretty lucky this summer. It hasn’t gotten hot enough in the bedroom that I’ve needed to put the air conditioner in the window. I’ve managed with just an open window and a ceiling fan.

I could not live here without A/C. Between that and our furnace we keep it close to the same temperature inside all year around. Going outside is like walking into an oven where you can hardly breathe or into a deep freezer or a full-on allergen producer depending on the season. We have underground parking so I spend very little time actually outdoors. Having our huge windows overlook a nature preserve helps retain my sanity.

  7. Hooray for cooler nights. Have a great weekend.

Our weather is still pretty hot and humid. Thank goodness for a/c. But I sleep best on a cool night with the windows open. I like the windows open even in the winter:)
