That’s Not a Problem Here

Andy and I don’t have to look for ways to shake up our lives. Our lives are always changing without us trying. For instance, Monday afternoon Andy said he’s trying to be extra careful when he climbs out of the well house because of his overshoes. Here’s what climbing out looked like last summer:

That last step out is tricky with heavy, clunky overshoes on, and Monday his foot got caught and he fell forward. It wasn’t serious, but he realized that if he ever fell inside the well house he wouldn’t have reception on either his cell phone or his Garmin. It’s not likely to happen, but we created a plan about when I should be concerned and look at the Garmin site to see where he was, and which of our neighbors to ask to check on him. Again, it’s not likely to happen, but we feel better with contingency plans.

No, we don’t feel the need to “shake things up.”

glad he is ok, good idea to have a plan, i am The Planner in this house. the best plan i think for this is don’t go down there unless someone else is there up top

I wouldn’t/couldn’t attempt that, even in tennis shoes! Definitely, having a sound contingency plan in place should make both of y’all sleep better.

Glad it wasn’t a serious fall. Also happy to hear you have a plan for the what if.

  4. That’s a wise idea to have a plan and to never have to use it.

  5. Wow, that can’t be easy!!!

  6. why was he in the well?

Couldn’t he have some type of “tape/stick” to poke down to see if there is moisture. I assume that’s what he’s checking.

anyway a plan is always good…
