Beef Tallow?

Both the diet and skin care worlds are popular social media niches that can quickly cycle through trendy ideas that range from reasonably effective to bizarre. The infatuation with tallow appears to be one of the few times their content focuses on the same product.
Influencers claim beef tallow has health and beauty benefits. Not necessarily, experts say.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is one of the believers. Here’s an Instagram video of him frying his turkey in tallow last Thanksgiving. (Click on the picture for the video.)

I enjoyed the video, but I haven’t been converted. As I’ve said before, my job right now is to keep being as happy and healthy as I can be so Kaitlin doesn’t have to worry about me. No clogging my arteries with saturated fats.

I personally believe that as Americans, we have way too much fatty foods as well as processed foods in our diets. I know that other countries do not allow some of foods that we eat to be produced in their food source. This worries me.

I hadn’t heard of this one!

Well, if RFK Jr. thinks it’s a good idea….
Last week when I was sicker, I sounded like him for a couple of days. Creepy.

  5. I can’t even with this guy.

As the American obesity climbs and unvaccinated children die and avian flu is crossing to mammals (humans next?), this deranged man advocates more of the same?
It’s a dreadfully insane time for all Americans. ?

I have always heard that it is very bad for your health. In fact, quite awhile ago, McDonalds was forced to stop using it for their fries.

  8. Myra Guca says:

Nope, not for me. I think your focus is right where it should be.

  9. The OP Pack says:

Definitely with you on this one. As for RFK, Jr. – I have no words.

the problem I see here is since the advent of the wide web, everyone and anyone can influence people with these shorts and YouTube. I personally don’t fry food, but did until a few years ago, in the south every meat was fried in lard, and until now I did not know lard and tallow were different.

So I’m going to be the odd person out here because I didn’t focus on the man I was looking at the turkey. It did look good when it came out of that fryer. Of course I will admit that fried foods aren’t something we should be eating. These days I tend to put things in my air fryer instead of a deep fryer. I wonder if in a few years we’ll be hearing how this is not good for you.
