Kaitlin sent this line from their local Police Blotter:
9:54 a.m. An officer investigated a report of an incident between a dog and a chicken on Suffolk Lane.Β
It doesnβt say what happened to the chicken.
I do love that police blotter. In the issue I read there was one report of a larceny, one of vandalism, and several about traffic citations. But the rest were about the police helping in medical emergencies, reports of lost items, a missing road sign, gravel on one road, etc. My favorite (besides the dog and the chicken) was
6:15 a.m. An officer was unable to locate a dead turkey reported to be in the road on East Street.
What a neat place to live, and how refreshing it is to read about it.

Laughing about small town “news” nice though
π
It kind of reminds me of the kind of incidents That Andy dealt with in Mayberry all those years ago on The Andy Griffith Show.
I loved Andy Griffith!
We are laughing at the term βincident.β T says Tempi has started a blog about itβ¦
I’m looking forward to reading it. π
…life is about the survival of the fittest.
π
It is like Mayberry!
Yes. π
Who ever thought crime could be so funny? a dog & a chicken…maybe it was trying to cross the road?
I will let you know when Tempi tells us. π
I hope someone is cooking that turkey.
π
The dog and the chicken is so funny!
Small town notices are so sweet. π
Yes. π
I wish we had a police blotter here. That was fun.
I need to see if our little burg doesn’t publish a police blotter!
Ours does from time to time, but it’s not sweet like this one.
The dog and the chicken is comical! Thank you so much for sharing, I live in a big city (Montreal) so it is nice to see small town notices!
