Hurray for October and falling leaves! The past few days have been glorious here, and this cover of The New Yorker expresses that joy and exuberance.
About accessing a higher resolution of yesterday’s Calvin and Hobbes cartoon — I accidentally published a draft, not the final version. Clicking on it now should work.
Happy October!

I am really enjoying fall, as well. Everything changes so fast in just a couple months.
Yes!
I love Calvin and Hobbs, and Fall in Florida is hot but I know its only one month until we get our Perfect Winter Weather, hot in the day and cold at night. woo hoo. we are ready for some winter, Florida Winter, not Real winter
Fingers crossed!
Those are both perfect for fall!

I see our neighbors raking and bagging their fallen leaves — but I love looking at ours just where they lay. (After living in Arizona, they’re like a feast for my eyes.)
I love fallen leaves. They move me even more than the colors on the trees.
That cover on The New Yorker is pure happiness. Love it.

When we were kids back in Chicago we would jump into the leave piles. It was so much fun. Love that photo on the New Yorker.
