In the upper right-hand corner of my iPad I have a photo widget. I don’t know how it came to be, but it shows a little picture (which changes from time to time) from my Memories and Featured Photos. I mostly ignore it, but once in a while a photo grabs my attention and I click on it to see it full screen. Here are four of them.
Kaitlin and Torben sent me this first one — of Tempi in some poppies when they were living in California:
I took this one up on the land a couple of years ago:
This one was taken in January, 1987. Back then the winters were snowy, and we had to snowshoe for a couple of miles to get to the land.
That was a long time ago!
This last one is a cartoon I drew years ago. I was surprised to see it, but it still makes me laugh.

It’s a good reminder to be able to laugh at ourselves.

What a fun look back at pictures. I like them all but the one of Tempi is my favorite.
It’s a beautiful picture of her. I’m so glad Torben took it. 🙂
So glad you showed these, I got my Tempest Fix… I do love her and wish I could meet her and you of course, but not the snowshoe part, ha ha. I doubt either of us would do well on snow shoes.. I have the same window on my iPad and on my Chromebook. sometimes I click too. I just finished scrolling through my old label Emerson Point. it was almost like when I walked there in the years before 2017 when my life started to slide down the outdoors hill
It’s a beautiful picture of her. Just stunning. I’m so glad Torben took it.
…what’s a widget?
“Apple widgets are small features on your iPhone’s Home Screen or Lock Screen that display information from your apps at a glance, such as weather updates, calendar events, or music controls. They allow you to access important information quickly without needing to open the full app.” I don’t know how my photo widget got there.
I love the cartoon! The photo of Tempi is gorgeous. Impressive to know how to snowshoe. Something I have never done.
🙂
I love the cartoon (and the photos, of course). Thanks for sharing!
🙂
Those are wonderful photos!
🙂
Lovely photos
🙂
Good grief, you are a very good artist!! My favorite here are that one and Tempi in the poppies.
No, I have little artistic talent, but I am persistent. It took me hours and hours to figure out how to make that picture. I really wanted to do it.
That is a nice way to look back at the past!
Yes. 🙂
Ooooo thanks for sharing these. Love all the pretty bright colors and oh, the snow scene makes me long to see snow. Glad these pop up for you to look back at. Very nice…
🙂
Your photos are gorgeous!
🙂
What great images … of course, my favorite is Tempi-the-super-model. That snow scene isn’t far behind.
That’s a beautiful picture of her. I’m so glad Torben took it.
