That comic made me laugh, not just for itself, but because it reminds me of this comic:
Which in turn reminds of a verse I read in the Wall Street Journal over 40 years ago:
I wish I could retain,
By some Herculean feat,
As much of what I read
As I do of what I eat.
My hats off to that author, whoever he was. I have retained those words after all this time.
Tomorrow I’ll talk about something I read about 60 years ago.

I also wish I could retain all the knowledge as good as my body loves fat cells from the wrong foods. If wishes were horses all beggars would ride. see I retained that from my child hood, so there. ha ha
Yes, that’s a good one!
Oh my yes, I retain what I eat much easier than what I read. Some of the books I’ve read, I may not remember everything about them but if I start to read one I’ve read in the past I do recognize it.
I think it’s a plus to forget the details. It can save a lot of money. 🙂
…yep, somethings stay with us!
🙂
Retain and expand seems to work here!
🙂
This could be me!
🙂
very true
🙂
Not only funny, but so true for me!! I cannot remember most of the books I have read. I used to read at least four books a week for several decades. But now I cannot remember any of them. I can remember which ones were my favorites, but that is all. On the other hand, my weight has been a struggle since I was a child. Recently my doctor told me that when you are over 70, it is almost impossible to lose weight. That actually makes me feel better because I can say it’s not my fault (even if it is!)
The main thing is to try to stay healthy. 🙂
Oh, how I can relate!
🙂
This is so true!
🙂
Oh my goodness I loved them both! So true.
🙂
That pickle joke is too funny!
