Sheathing the Roof

The cabin is still coming along. They are now sheathing the roof and working on the plumbing:

We were also impressed by this determined little flower. Definitely a kindred spirit. 🙂

Do you have any kindred spirits in your life?

Thanks to bikehikebabe, Cathy, Dixie and Rummuser for commenting on last week’s post.

Very good progress indeed. No, I can’t think of any kindred spirit just now in my life. May be I am not looking hard enough!

I like the 3rd picture looking up through the “black sticks” to a new beginning…

Kindred spirit has left home, or maybe she/he was never here…right now I’m working through issues with a “spirit” that might be named me. It is interesting working through issues that didn’t ever seem important as such; because I have come up with lots of other questions that only “me” can answer but I’m making some progress (in a funny sort of way) 🙂

Plus there seems to be a lot of mis-assumptions from family and friends about “me” as a person which I hadn’t really taken note of late – until now!

I’ve no shortage of kindred spirits. Several women share so many common interests as I, it’s never tiring to chat, bargain hunt, paint, sew…

The squirrels who claim propriety over my gazebo love to sit there as much as I. The biggest climbs on the top, shakes his tail as if to warn me away. Next year he’s paying the taxes!!

Not sure how to explain it but when I think of a flower I would like for my yard, one appears. I don’t mean that the flower shows up in the yard, though that has happened. But a friend might stop by and viola, a new oriental lily.

Of late I seem to be ‘at one’ with the bumble bees, I know. Could be the fact that I deliver cool water every day at 3pm – naaa!

We do not have squirrels here, not even in the zoo…I find it intriguing that they roam at will, although I have heard a lot of stories about squirrels and bird feeders 🙂

It’s like those other creatures names “bears” that I hear roam around as well…they are only in zoos here.

    Rummuser,
It never occurred to me to look for one. They occasionally pop up for me.

    Dixie,
That’s neat that you have so many people to share your interests with. 🙂

When we were foolish enough to try gardening up in the mountains one ground squirrel used to scold us when we went into “his” garden. He finally decided we weren’t a threat and would just run in and start eating anyway.

    Cathy,
Yes, we sometimes have trouble with bears around here. And occasionally mountain lions.
