Pipes and Roof

Peter has been working hard laying and connecting the various pipes.

Gas pipe for the refrigerator as well as the vents and water pipes in the wall between the kitchen and the bathroom.

Pipes for radiant heating system in my study:

And they’ve now started to put the metal roofing on:

Even though it’s a small place, it’s still a big project. And it’s fun to watch it grow. Is anything growing in your life?

Thanks to Mike, Evan, Cathy, Dixie and Rummuser for commenting on last week’s post.

    At the moment frustration.

Going to get some dummies books about a page layout program called InDesign out of the library in an attempt to deal with it.

I couldn’t even find out how to start my first document in the trial version!

  2. Cathy in NZ says:

    Here:
Grass is not growing, thank goodness!
However, my hair needs another cut, it is growing
Because I’m home, more less mould it forming on bought foods in the refrigerator because I am eating “in” 🙂

Growing anticipation of beginning my exploration into “how to draw” took a step up yesterday when part of the “material starter” package arrived. Some of things in the box I have no idea what they are for? Or if I do know, what will I be creating with them?

And what is “the travelling egg” project that a special courier bag was provided for?

I am expecting the rest of the “materials” and something called “the green book”, DVDs and other media early next week when it will all begin!

    Evan,
I sympathize. Adobe makes powerful products but they’re not at all intuitive at first. We tend to buy a lot of books to help. Hope your library has what you need.

    Cathy,
I’m excited for you! Please keep us informed about your unfolding adventure.

  4. Evan says:

I’m afraid my partner is putting in a lot of time. The books presume way too much for someone who doesn’t know anything.

  5. Rummuser says:

My mustache, beard and the hair on the fringes of my head.

  6. Dixie says:

Ah yes! My empathy has grown for anyone having shoulder issues or surgery. That has domino-d into more empathy for all sorts of illnesses and injuries. Some things are simply a blessing in disguise. They help open doors I might not otherwise even see.

So glad to see your home is moving along at a great pace!!

    Evan,
It’s hard to find books that lead one by the hand to get started. I’ve been trying to learn Corel’s Painter and was lucky enough to find a couple.

    Rummuser,
That’s better than pushing up daisies!

    Dixie,
I admire your attitude. Good for you!
