We’ll Just Have to See

They’ve now installed all of the HardiBoard siding on the walls and are finishing the caulking. They will still need to do the chimney and the columns.

Andy asked Joe when he thought the house might be done and Joe said around Thanksgiving. Oh, oh. Winter can start early up there and so far the estimates we’ve received were overly optimistic. If we’re unlucky the work could have to stop until next Spring. We’ll just have to see.

On the other hand, the water system is now finished and there’s only a little more work to do before the pump is hooked up to our solar system. And now that the shed has passed inspection Andy can fix it up as his workroom. He’s painted the usable half with primer and has ordered the material for his workbench.

Any predictions or progress in your life this week?

Progress: It was the last day of Winter today, and tomorrow is the first day of Spring! But that doesn’t mean that the weather will necessarily stay nice and fine as it has been this last week…
Prediction: I will more than likely ace only 9% regular drawing and now it is time for me to experiment with other types of art-making…

How I wish that there was some prediction or progress!

Loving seeing what’s been done. I really like the yellow, so cheerful! Not exciting would be tan or neutral but who wants not exciting.
Why do you call it “unusable space” in Andy’s workroom?

Can’t predict when any progress will happen in my life.

Jean: btw – you little home in the woods is coming along great…can’t wait to see the interior decor shots 🙂

And it is the first day of spring, but weather god is confused and so pockets of sun, dark clouds, & certainly not very warm!

All my weeks are in the We’ll Just Have to See mode. The fine art of juggling is one I’m familiar with.

Physically my shoulder is better, however still no prognosis on the abdomen issue.
I stay busy with painting yard art which I sell at yard sales. It’s a lot of fun and I seem to be a fast painter. Also made a woman out of chicken wire for clematis to grow up. It’s really cute.
    Your project is looking better.

    Cathy,
Your Spring sounds like ours here. As the saying goes, if you don’t like the weather just wait a couple of minutes and it will change. 🙂

    Rummuser,
Be careful what you wish for! Let’s hope Sir Cadogan was wrong when he said, “Be stout of heart, the worst is yet to come!”

    BHB,
The yellow is the color of the primer they put on the HardiBoard. For better or worse we’re going with the antique copper (brown/tan), the bittersweet chocolate and the barbados sand. Who knows what it will look like, but this was my Photoshop attempt:

The unusable space in the shed right now is because the fellows have the wood stove, heater, etc. stored there until they start on the inside.

    Evan,
Please keep us posted. we’re wishing you well.

    Dixie,
I’m glad the shoulder is better, but what’s this about the abdomen? I hope it isn’t serious. I’m glad you’re having fun with your art.

It will be interesting to see if our project looks better or worse after they paint it. 😀

  8. bikehikebabe says:

WOW! Now that IS beautiful! You couldn’t have done a better job with the colors.

  9. Jean says:

    BHB,
We’ll just have to see how they mix the paint and how the colors look in the lighting up there. I’m curious.

  10. Rummuser says:

    The colours are striking.

Now you have got me prepared with that Cadogan quote. Thank you.

  11. bikehikebabe says:

I’m starting to write colours thanks to you.
