Wind!

Andy couldn’t go up to the land yesterday because of our trip to Santa Fe, so he had to wait until today to clear the remaining three trees off the road. They were small — he had already cleared off the two medium-sized ones. Needless to say, he’s not thrilled with the forecast for tomorrow!

    high winds here too.
actually not that high in terms of our usual… only 28 to 30.
but it always has gusts then to excess. and there were lake warnings.
the kicker is it’s been 99 already in the SW part of our state. and it’s to drop to 29 this weekend even there. we had green tender leaves on all the trees that are now brown because the other day it dropped like that and stayed too long. sad to see it. just the way of spring here. everything always blooms way too early.
wishing Andy good weather for his tree clearing. just the thought of that chain saw is chilling to me! and not because of the movie! which I didn’t see. 🙂

He’s careful with the chain saw. He too is worried about his fruit trees being hurt by the falling temperatures, and the wind warning says occasional gusts might be as high as 55 to 70 miles per hour.

  2. Too windy to walk today. I dash out whenever the wind and rain ease these days, trying to get something done in the garden! I’m trying not to be crabby about the weather, since many parts of the country are worse, at least we don’t have snow!

No wind here other than what humans and animals pass! Heat is the problem.

  4. lots and lots of wind – gales, thunder storms – lashing rain here middle of last week…not been the greatest since either – but not the kind of rain that deal huge blow to many trees – both large/small; wooden fences toppled; garden furniture and trampolines leaving home…

one of the ladies at the retreat had a call to say that a very large inflatable blue fish was in one of their trees – well out of reach of human hands….
