As I’ve mentioned before, Kaitlin and Torben are avid University of Michigan fans. They get season tickets to the football games and drive to Ann Arbor every weekend there’s a home game.
Unfortunately Michigan didn’t do very well this year. In particular they lost the final game…with their archrival Ohio State…37-7. So one of Kaitlin’s bosses sent her this condolence e-card:

Looks like the team I watch, Arkansas Razorbacks, will be facing Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl.
One of my co-workers has gotten Razorback season tickets for years. The prices have taken a step change and most of the games are on TV. He says that he’s now been priced out of buying season tickets.
Someone else will be willing to pay the price.
Not me, though, I’m just a fair weather fan.
No, I’m not a team sports fan. Football is running from one end of the field to the other with a pile-up somewhere in the middle. The only thing of interest to me is the tight asses.

I’m with you. Kaitlin and Torben will sit through the whole game even if it’s bitter cold and their team is losing. That doesn’t appeal to me at all.

I seldom watch football, but it is fun to see a spectacular pass and catch, especially if it turns into a touchdown.
