The site of the new shed is to the right of the driveway.
The weather has been “slightly less than perfect” the past couple of days, so construction has been briefly halted. We’re expecting more good weather before winter sets in for good, but just in case the truck and snowplow are ready:
Steve and Joe weren’t able to get the building permits Friday because we didn’t have a house number. But yesterday when Andy was up there two fellows from the county came up and they all decided our address will be 75 Woodcutters Road. So Joe made the two-hour-each-way trip again today. Presumably he succeeded this time and progress is being made. 🙂
whoopee…75 Woodcutters Road – roll on rebuilding 🙂
Cathy,
Thanks!
Glad the weather is cooperating. We got over an inch of rain from the same system. That would have translated into a LOT of snow if it had been cold enough.
We really enjoyed our journey though parts of New Mexico. Karen is already talking about going back — just to New Mexico! 😉
Joe spent 8 hrs total on the road (+ wear & tear on the car, gas) because that 75 number was needed. Red Tape. Sorry I had to point that out. 🙁
Mike,
That’s a lot of rain! Glad you liked New Mexico. It was a lot prettier before the drought, but we do have wide open spaces.
bikehikebabe,
Actually that was Joe’s third trip, so he spent 12 hours just driving. Steve went with him twice, for another eight hours not counting the time there. We paid for their time, of course, so it does add up. The disadvantage of building so far from the county seat.
Hope you get that good weather
Looks like you will be able to make an igloo soon.
Evan,
Thanks.
Looney,
Ah, but we can’t build any structure until we have the house started. 😀
That is a nice, robust address. Rings out loud and clear about the intention of the residents on the road!
