What triggers the need for them is usually hunger pangs.

Vegemite on toast. (No risk of people from other countries taking this up.)

I don’t have any comfort foods. I find the whole idea that bad news should send you rushing for food a bit strange. If I hear a lot of bad news, I just turn it off and do something I enjoy, like listening to music or reading a book.

A classic joke here is when women are having relationship problems they eat ice cream. When something bothers me I do something more active.

i have too many comfort foods to count….
popcorn. pizza. ice cream. dorito chips. oh yes! any kind of chips really.
peanut butter. spaghetti. toast with orange marmalade.
a little salad with my ranch dressing. LOLOL.
if i’m sad or upset though . . . i just don’t eat anything. so… i guess the cartoon doesn’t apply to me actually.
i eat when i’m happy … which explains the waistline i guess. 😀
