Winter Again

It was winter again yesterday — 12°F down here, 18°F up on the land. (We often have temperature inversions when the weather comes from the east.)

It’s supposed to get above freezing today. One forecast says more snow, one says it will be sunny. We’ll just have to see.

What’s your weather like?

these pictures are so beautiful. i can see why andy loves it up there.
our temp says right now ’20 degrees… feels like 12′ . . . i suppose because of the wind.
but it’s to get up to 42 today and our snow will melt. we didn’t get much but every little bit helps!

We had more snow today, but the sun is supposed to come out tomorrow. Then maybe more snow. It’s an interesting time of year. I agree about the snow — we need all we can get too!

  3. Mike says:

Our weather, most recently, has been wintery, with lows in the teens and twenties and highs that often can’t struggle up to freezing. The inch or so of snow in our yard covers the remnants of the inch of sleet that we got eight days ago. It hasn’t been as bad as some predicted — the coldest weather is quite a bit further east than they thought it would be and we’ve managed to have some nicer than normal days. However, I think that spring is still quite a ways in the future.

I’m just glad we didn’t get the winter that the northeast is suffering through.

    • Jean says:

I agree with you about being grateful we don’t live in the northeast. When Andy said they’re predicting more snow, he added , “It’s a back door cold front”. I said I expected that. (“Back-door” cold fronts are the storms that come from the east — winter storms used to come from the west.) I said all the weather is happening in the east this winter. The times they are a-changin’.

summer came back here as well…had a week of intermittent – throw down some watery stuff and making it chilly – but this week, summer and the cicadas back 🙂

  6. Evan says:

Pleasantly summery. Mostly sunny and warm, one quite hot day (34C/95F).
