Shortly before 1 yesterday afternoon I received this email from Andy:
checking to see if things work in a snowstorm
It was cloudy and windy down here, but no snow. Andy says it started snowing there about 12:30 and was still snowing when he left about 3:30. He left early just in case he had to clear some trees off the roads, but luckily that didn’t happen.
The interesting part was how fast the weather changed. It was bright and sunny, but windy, in the morning when he took this picture of our daffodils:
He got things ready so he could check out the watering system in the afternoon, but as he was eating lunch the front moved in, so he changed his plans. Indoor work seemed more appropriate.
Needless to say, we’re happy our internet worked just fine. It’s such a relief to have two-way communication. After all these years we don’t take that for granted.

Yes, open lines of communication that we have all got so used to nowadays is a blessing. We miss that when something goes wrong in the links.
It’s so easy to take it for granted.
Happy spring to you two! The daffodils cannot be disputed. This is a wonderful time of year…so much anticipation!
Yes, it’s a great time of year. 🙂

off my balcony are bradford pear and redbud trees in full bloom.

You’re earlier than we are, but we have a couple of apricot trees down here that are starting to come out. The fruit trees up on the land are still safely dormant, but Kaitlin’s pink pussy willow is coming out.
no signs of winter or for that matter autumn here…although some mornings there is a chill until around 10ish when out comes the sun…
It’s early yet. Our mornings are still chilly too, even though we’re going in the opposite direction.
oops looks like I forgot to read Tobogganing post…
I love your comments, but please don’t feel you have to read everything. The last thing I want is for this to be a burden. It’s supposed to be friendly and fun.
