Do you agree with Koko, that Steve should have tried to rescue the gazelle? Do you think he would have felt the same if the predator had been a wolf instead of a lion?

it seems now that nature shows are full of those images.
I have yet to make peace with that part of nature and I know full well that it is the way things are. everything has to kill to survive.
the lion would soon slowly starve to death if it never killed a gazelle.
still. I don’t want to have to watch it do that!

  2. I love gazelle, wolves and lions. It’s hard to pick who to root for. We all know nature is cruel, and has to be, but I’ve always had a hard time acknowledging what happens in the name of survival. (Still recovering from seeing Bambi all those years ago!)

Wild life reality is precisely that, reality and showing it as it happens may seem to be cruel but survival of the fittest is the reality, One does not have to watch such films if one is squeamish. Do you think squeamish meat eaters will turn vegetarian if they saw animals being slaughtered for food?

Many years ago I was at my sister’s for dinner and they had some wildlife show on their big TV. I try not to remember really, but I believe it was zebras being in the water and something attacking it violently.
    Alligators or was it lions???
I don’t want to think about it again.
Anyway, I asked them to turn the channel and my brother-in-law was all snotty about how that’s the circle of life and blah blah blah.
I told him I knew that but I didn’t need to watch it.
    🙁
