This post reminds me of Montana. She was only five when she died, but in those few years she had more “tail wags” than a lot of people have in a lifetime.

Every time a dog wags its tail what I, first and foremost, feel is their sense of anticipation, a dog’s hope. That’s why it’s hard, almost impossible, to disappoint a dog.

      Ursula,
I put this in for you, and Sucuri corrected the problem about not letting people comment, but I notice that for your last post it says Rummuser’s post Freaky Ali. I don’t think that’s Sucuri, but I’m not sure where to look. I’ll keep scratching my head to see if that generates any ideas. πŸ™‚

  2. Ursula says:

“Freaky Ali”? That just about sums it up for me today. Up the Alley.

Thanks for taking the trouble publishing my comment. I do feel for dogs. I feel for everyone and anything – and one of these days it’ll be my fall down.

In the meantime, and still standing,
    U

Glad to see you can place U’s reply on the post…

Wish I could get your replies to my comments via email, also Tammy’s post…and then find a way to stop dozens of replies to Rummusers posts. I can easily go back via post titles for you and R – but Tammy doesn’t have that feature, so I keep her posts and drift back to them later.

Or course, I get behind with even looking at blog posts…so my comments may comes in block units πŸ™‚

as to “tail waggin” have no comment to make…

I tested it the way the plugin author said, and it doesn’t work for me either. It hasn’t been tested for the latest WordPress, but I think you’ve had the problem for a long time. I’ll see if I can find another plugin.

    • Jean says:

I can’t get the new plugin to work either. Sigh…

I have no idea what you all are talking about!
unless it’s that my blog doesn’t send you an email when I reply to your comments? I have asked the captain about that before! no changes yet.
and now he’s getting settle in his new digs in Hawaii!
    as to tail wags…
I’ve seen dogs wag their tails when they have been terribly abused and see their rescuers trying to help them. they are amazing souls.
I want to be like them.
and little montana was the queen of tail waggers. I miss her so much. xo

  5. KB says:

I bet that Montana caught up on the tail wags really fast!

As for the other comments, I’m lost!

    • Jean says:

Don’t worry about the discussion about comments and subscribing to comments. My new security firewall was set incorrectly this morning and they fixed it. And my Subscribe to Comments button doesn’t work. I haven’t been able to figure out how to fix it. My latest tries have still been futile.

About Montana — yes, she was a joy. Good-natured and happy.

  6. Cindi says:

    I’m lost too.
No idea what the comment discussion is.
    sigh.

I’m happy that Montana had the chance to have so much happiness
in such a short amount of time.
In a way, she was very lucky.
Still, it’s heartbreaking that it was all cut so short.
But there is a lesson to learn here.
    I best get wagging.

    • Jean says:

You’re not missing much about the comment discussion. πŸ™‚

Yes, I agree — it’s time to get wagging! Life is too short not to. πŸ˜€

  7. Rummuser says:

To see a rescued and subsequently adopted dog wagging its tail is to see heaven on earth.

  8. Rummuser says:

As you would say, Yay! It worked this time!
