our walks slowed down and got fewer as his cancer progressed.
then when we could no longer take walks he would sit on the lawn in the sun.
and he smiled.
that is the kind of heart I strive to have.

I think the “nose” is their best feature…and one has to keep up with the canine news somehow…
Yes, their noses are amazing! And what good is a walk if they can’t savor their sniffing?
I am like Alfie too. My nose is not cooperating but my eyesight sure is.

Sammy also loves it when they can all be out in the yard together. 🙂
My nose doesn’t work well, either. Texture of food has become more important than smell.
Again, as long as there are still things we can enjoy. Dogs don’t seem to fret about what they have lost.
