This cartoon reminds me of that night last week when the abandoned pup kept us awake with his barking. It also reminds me of an incident when I was little. My folks were raising chickens and my mother showed me that if you cup your hands around a little chick, shutting out the light, it will immediately stop chirping and fall asleep. How cool is that?! Cool enough for me to remember it over 70 years later.

we at times remember very odd things…things that don’t particularly equate over into another scene “or does it?”
I always find it fascinating to wonder why I remember some things, presumably trivial, and forget so much.
I didn’t know that about chicks, I love “trivial” things like this, but you never know when it’ll be useful! 🙂
I hope that pup is safe!
He was perfectly safe. His owner forgot about him in the dog park and management took him home the next morning. Hopefully the owner doesn’t do that again!
