The Pups

Kaitlin, Torben and Andy took the pups on a long walk today, and they ended up putting the pups on leashes. There were too many exciting things to smell, and the pups didn’t stick with the pack.

  1. LOL – I’m fortunately not a dog but at times when I’m out, I will get so sidetracked…so I understand their day/trip…

the nose knows! and can often lead us astray! lolol!

    Good idea!
(I’m too much of a worry wart not to keep my dogs leashed.)
I would be afraid that a rabbit or something would get the pups lost up there on all that land!

They were all right Saturday and Sunday because we didn’t go that far, they, especially Zoe, had to be called some, but it worked. I didn’t go on the walk today, but apparently it wasn’t working at all with her, so they put her on a leash early. Tempi was much better and didn’t go on the leash unless there were cows around.

  4. It just been to hot to walk here in Idaho. You lucky people and dog can take a stroll.
    Coffee is on

Apparently it was hot on the walk, but not impossible. Up on the land (elevation about 8900 feet) now it gets hot for a few hours in the afternoon but is okay the rest of the time because we usually have a breeze.

Down here in the apartment we have the AC during the day and evening.

Ranjan and Manjiree too have the same problem with Chutki when they go to strange places.

  6. What a great match of cartoon and story! Dogs do have a mind of their own—we have strict enforcement of ‘on-lease’ rules where we live…

    • Jean says:

Kaitlin and Torben love bringing the pups up to the land because they can be off-leash.

About the cartoon — a great example of synchronicity. 🙂

  7. .Rummuser says:

Yes, they do, though she resents it.

    • Jean says:

Hopefully she and Zoe will learn they can be off leash if they don’t stray too far but keep checking in to see where the humans are.
