    oh Monk. I loved this. I’ve always liked ducks. and somebody should tell her that they bond tightly with the first animal they see when they’re tiny like that.
    I guess they think it’s their mom? I’ve read that many times! maybe it’s true.
    but the Dude is wonderful! and he seems to really love them! LOL!

      Yes, birds imprint:

      “Imprinting is a form of learning in which an animal gains its sense of species identification. Birds do not automatically know what they are when they hatch – they visually imprint on their parents during a critical period of development. After imprinting, they will identify with that species for life.”

      I think some of the women’s narrative is distracting, but I’m glad she shared the video with us. 🙂
