As I mentioned, I’m so glad Kaitlin and Torben had sunny weather when they were here, and that some of aspens were still radiant. Here a a few of the pictures that Torben took.
Hopefully more tomorrow!

yes glorious and gorgeous
it’s like early winter here today – so damp/chilly that I have fired up all my heaters which is keeping me feeling nice… (especially funny as I decided that temporarily one heater could live in the newly cleared space; within a hour it’s back on “duty”) 🙂
Thank goodness for heaters! Stay warm!
like gold! so beautiful! xoxo
The photographs don’t completely capture the radiance, but they give the idea. I’m so glad they could see it. And I hope you can get to Colorado in the fall sometime to renew old memories.
Very colourful, sunny and brilliant. Hope that it stays like that for many days for you.
Actually it was overcast this morning and rainy this afternoon. We love this weather too, just not when the kids come.
I’m not familiar with the Aspen, although I know there are references to it in songs and poems. Such radiance! You can see how it dominates the landscape once the leaves turn yellow—I think it is a very hardy tree, given the climate there.
They grow fast after a fire, thank goodness.
So beautiful!!! The leaves on our trees turned color over the weekend and then they just about ALL fell to the ground Monday:( But still pretty even if for such a short time.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We were surprised that our season lasted so long. We have no idea why!
