Helsinki

Kaitlin and Torben flew to Helsinki last weekend for the 100th-birthday party for one of Andy’s and Kaitlin’s relatives.

I was impressed by my World Clock app — it easily told me the time difference from here and also the sunrise and sunset there. (Yes, long nights, not much daylight!)

Kaitlin said they had a great time in spite of the frigid weather.

They enjoyed meeting the relatives and felt at home in Helsinki. So they hope to go back in the summer and also stop in Denmark to visit Torben’s relatives.

They said the pups were happy to see them back home, but the pups really liked the pet sitter. They slept touching her at night and were very well behaved — except for a chewed-up picture frame, but that was minor. So all in all, it was a great trip!

It sounds like a great trip to us too. That clock is cool. Mom would like to use something like that when our human brother has to do all his work international travel. The pups look eager to welcome them home.

I’m in love with that clock because it displays so much information on that little map — where it was day and where night, the relative latitudes of the cities, etc. Plus easily telling us the time difference. It was fun to think of them from time to time and think of them up and about or sleeping.

  2. sounds like the trip was great – and one can’t imagine not having something “chewed up” by those left behind…

Glad to hear they had a good trip.
