The Last Day of March

Andy could finally drive all the way up to the land yesterday:

As you can see, the road was dry, but he had to move trees out of the way.

When he left this morning he cheerfully said he was sure he could drive up today, but didn’t know about tomorrow.

It’s been snowing lightly down here all day, but the snow isn’t accumulating much and will melt as soon as it stops and the temperature gets above freezing.

It looks as if the snow will melt fast up there too.

The weather has been fun to watch, especially since we’re having family coming this week and next.

it’s not unlike our own weather here. although light rain instead of snow.
I like that Andy is all happy and excited! are the grand doggies coming too?

No. Kaitlin and Torben are flying in Saturday and flying out early Monday morning. The pups will come with them in the summer, probably August.

It must be nice for you to get a glimpse of snow-free land:) We would love some more snow to run and play in, but not Mom!!! We had some flakes yesterday but they all disappeared into thin air. BUT we did have a beautiful day today.

The snow is actually accumulating down here tonight, but it will probably melt during the day tomorrow. Andy plans to use chains to drive in tomorrow, assuming the snow doesn’t get too deep. Interesting weather!

  3. There just a little bit of snow left in a yard. Coffee is on

We have snow on the ground here. I’m hoping it melts off soon. I haven’t checked the forecast.

Yay for April! Goodbye March, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out!

  6. well, in the last days, it’s been alternate fine/wet days…yesterday it rained off and on all the way back from Lake Taupo, with on mostly in place but I was high up in a bus, watching it unfold out of the window, until we had 2 short stops…

today I’m home, some sun although some light rain when I was putting a washer load on the clothesline, now it’s sunny mid arvo.

    I’m not cold..

oh replying on my laptop, so can see all way across the reply box!

March 1st here couldn’t seem to decide if it was a lion or a lamb so I guess it makes sense that March 31st had the same issue. I guess that’s what spring is, though, fluctuating weather as we transition from winter to summer.
