There Are No Guarantees

In a recent comment peppylady asked,

Can you believe winter is gone[?]

And I burst out laughing when Diane wrote,

Yay for April! Goodbye March, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out!

Unfortunately around here there are no guarantees that the snow won’t come back. Here is a post from April 30, 2017:

More Pictures

The conversation as Andy left for the land Friday morning:

Andy: I hope I don’t get stuck.

Me: If you do, take some pictures.

He laughed.

He didn’t get stuck, but he took pictures anyway.

We clearly did the right thing by having our picnic Wednesday evening. It snowed again yesterday.

It’s springtime in the Rockies. The first year we were here we got two feet of snow the first week in April, and we’ve even had snow flurries on Memorial Day. It used to be that was the usual day of the last frost. We don’t know if that has changed.

Yes, it can sneak up on you when you least expect it – not that WE would mind:)

I saw on the news this morning that most or all of New Jersey is under extreme fire danger. from drought I guess. and yet all around them have been snow storms for what seems like months!
