We were lucky with the weather when our visitors were here this past week. It’s windy and snowing outside down here right now and it was 29°, blowing, and snowing up on the land when Andy left before 3 this afternoon.
We’re grateful the weather waited until the visits were over!
March 10, 2019
you were indeed…and having time on the land, with all the visitors all the more sweet for good weather.
yesterday I bought a new rain jacket – for when it’s needed π interesting because yesterday was beautiful, it stayed in the retailers shopping bag all the way home, I then tried it out for packability and it’s nice, folds nicely into a small size
Today it started to rain maybe an hour ago…but there are no plans to put on jacket and go out in the weather! In fact, I have the living room heater on as suddenly I realised my hands had “gone”…put on another merino top and now I’m much warmer…
That new raincoat sounds like a great idea, especially for traveling. That doesn’t mean you should go out if you don’t need too. π I’m glad you’re safe and warm.
we had temps in the 90’s in the panhandle and the southwestern part today.
here where I am I think it reach almost 90. but on Friday it’s to get very cold and rainy. the panhandle will probably get your snow!
I’m happy too that your company came in between! xoxo
I’d rather have the rain (or a bit of snow) and cold than the heat!
I’m glad Mother Nature did you that small favor. Right now she’s dumping snow here in Michigan.
I’m not surprised. I hope it’s not too much.
Oh my, not more snow. I’m glad it held out while you had your visitors though. Hopefully this will be a quick winter appearance and then you get back to spring.
Yes, thank goodness snow melts fast this time of year. Wind is a bigger concern. We’re still shocked at all the big, tall evergreens that were completely uprooted by the last windstorm. We’ve been here over 40 years and hadn’t seen it that bad before.
We are getting all the wind, but no snow. And a big drop in temps. So happy for you that the bad stuff waited for your guests to leave.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Thank you. π
It’s Spring in Minnesota. Yesterday, today and tomorrow we are having snow, wind, sleet, rain, wind, snow then rain. We never used to have snow in April but that seems to be a new standard.
Springtime in the Rockies can go that way too. That’s interesting that your cold weather is lasting longer — I thought winters up north would be getting shorter. It will be interesting to see what the long-term trends are — in the meantime, good luck! π
That was great timing.
Usually the reverse happens here!
I canβt wait for Spring.
It seemed to be here too and then left again.
