Kaitlin sent me this snow prediction this morning and said she wondered if they would really get that much.
So I phoned her tonight to see. She said it had been snowing all day and started accumulating this afternoon. She took a couple of pictures with her phone to show me.
She also took this picture of the pups.
Wow! We had a beautiful spring day here, with the high around 70 — what a contrast!
Thanks, Kaitlin.

Truly contrasting weather conditions!
Today’s post is about an even more striking contrast.
oh NO! it’s time their weather got the SPRING memo!!!
but the puppies have the right idea.
I have been watching our OK Memorial Marathon. it’s cool and windy.
it’s wonderful. thousands of people and some runners from all over the world.
so something good has come from such a tragic day. it’s a feeling of real unity of spirit in our city.
That’s welcome news! We need a lot more like that.
Oh no, that’s just not right. Mother nature has her signals crossed over Chicago
They agree!
agree…
I’m 2 1/2 to 3 hours from Chicago
And we dodged the snow
Just a lot of cold rain and rain predicted for more than a week.
We are about to break the record on how high the river is rising.
Flooding is pretty bad here.
Luckily I’m on the hill.
I’m glad you’re safe! I’m now looking at your flooding on the internet. Is it affecting your ability to get to work?
It’s causing a lot of detours but I’m always able to get there!
:/
Fingers crossed after the levee bursting! I’m so glad you went home the way you did.
