Beate brought some pine seedlings down when she left last summer, and she carefully nurtured them in balmy Corpus Christi, Texas.
She gave three of them to Andy last weekend, and he put them outside to get acclimated before planting them.
This is what they looked like yesterday:
Do you think they will survive the shock?

I know trees go into shock. but maybe since pine are acclimated to that type of weather… they’ll make it. I sure hope so! what a cute little tree.
looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas tree!
Andy said they still looked fine today. I’m surprised they did so well in the hot humid weather in Texas.
maybe this is just more acclimation for them…rooting (oops pun) for them to survive…
So far so good. 🙂
It reminds me of a Charlie Brown Christmas tree right now but I’m betting one day it will stand tall and proud
We’ll see. We’ve already lost several because of deer rubbing them with their antlers to remove the velvet. One was about six feet tall and Andy’s pride and joy.
No idea. We don’t have any pine trees in our garden. But Wikipedia says they can survive in both the hottest and coldest environments on earth, in which case they should be okay!
So far they look fine.
If they’re pines, they probably will.
I think you’re right.
