I’d had forgotten about watching guppies eat their own. 🙁
I’ve never seen it because I’ve never kept guppies. But my husband’s folks had them and I remember them separating the babies from their parents.

Took me a minute, but I did get it! Yuck!
It’s a clever cartoon because we have to think.
Seems to me I recall Mom saying we had to cover the fish bowl to keep it dark when baby fish emerging to keep them from being eaten.
I’ve also read it helps to have places in the aquarium where the babies can hide, presumably until they are too big to be eaten.
