Motivation

The state building inspector was supposed to come up Wednesday to approve the rebar for the greenhouse foundation. Instead he told Joe, our contractor, he didn’t want to go all the way up there so Joe could send him pictures instead. Joe did, and the work was approved.

The interesting thing was that very day two women from the county assessor’s office came up to see what the plans were, how things were coming. No doubt they wanted to figure out how much they can raise our taxes.

Motivation in action.

    oh for pete’s sake.

  2. What are you going to grow in the greenhouse?

It was Kaitlin and Torben’s idea — for their future but the idea was maybe Andy could play with it too.

If it gets done in time Andy would like to plant some radishes this fall. Maybe some tomatoes next year if all goes well. He already has a full plate of things to work on and he’s 84 and for some reason doesn’t have as much energy as he used to.

Andy says he’s not that worn out. If it works he will plant more things than just tomatoes. 😀

I wonder how often that inspector doesn’t want to do the traveling and has people just send pictures.
Figures the people from the assesors office were there.

It must depend on how hard it is to get to the property and whether pictures give enough details for him to decide. We think this was a sensible decision but we don’t know how often that is the case.

  4. I suppose it was a nice drive into the countryside for the women, a day out of the office 🙂
I would’ve have loved it, if a tree had fallen and blocked their way out…(sorry that’s mean-as)
