I had mixed feelings when in elementary…and did not like it in high school. But it wasn’t the schooling that I didn’t like…it was circumstances beyond my control.
I liked school because we were fairly isolated when I was a kid and it was a chance for me to be with other kids. I also enjoyed learning and sometimes school satisfied that need, other times it was incredibly boring in elementary school. High school was exciting for me because I had some good teachers and classes.
I don’t even remember how I felt about going back to school but I wish the kids today didn’t go back before Labor Day! I don’t want to think about summer being over!
Fall is my favorite season — summer is a bit too warm. I still get excited when the weather starts to cool, that’s the start of the new year for me. Clearly school starting around Labor Day when I was a kid is part of the association.
l think I was somewhere in between I didn’t love school but I didn’t hate it either.
That’s a lot better than hating it. I feel sorry for that poor boy. 🙁
