Don’t Get Your Hopes Up

Joe and his crew are still moving right along on the wall:

The Misadventures of Widowhood was right in her comment yesterday — the actual space inside the greenhouse area keeps looking smaller and smaller.

But an even bigger problem is we wrote to the installer last Saturday to tell him we’re almost ready for attaching the greenhouse, could he tell us when he could come? He hasn’t answered yet. That’s worrisome, but we will wait until we are actually ready before writing again.

Life is seldom simple. It’s possible we won’t get the greenhouse installed this year, but I’m still going to enjoy watching the wall being built.

This is fascinting to watch go up.When I think of a greenhouse I picture a rather flimsy looking structure with all windows.

I changed the last part of the post to mention not hearing from the installer, so it’s possible we won’t see the glass part for quite a while. We will have to see.

  2. I’m so used to seeing greenhouses with glass from the ground up on all sides, I just can’t picture what this is going to look like when it’s finished and how the planting beds will it inside. Fun to follow along, thanks!

It’s looking more and more like a castle! Will there be a moat? 😀

I do hope that when you are ready, that the installer can come. Like the others, I am really enjoying watching the process.

  5. Maybe you need to tell them that many interested world wide people want to see it all complete…this year ???

  6. Hopefully if not this yr then the first part of spring so that you can get it established and ready for the next yr. But…its nice watching it go up so that you know what is going on.

Like the others, I imagine a greenhouse as being all glass to catch the maximum amount of sunshine. You say there’s going to be plenty of glass included, so I’ll be interested to see what you finish up with.
