They are now ready for pouring the concrete, this morning if all goes well.
There are a couple more pictures on Flickr.
Those metal bolts with nuts piercing the cross pieces are for the beam anchors Andy designed and had built.
The idea is when the concrete hardens they will take off the wooden forms and cross pieces and slip the holes of the anchors through the bolts (with the vertical sides of the anchors facing the inside of the greenhouse). Once the nuts are tightened the anchors will be firmly attached to the concrete layer, and then the vertical sides of the anchors will be screwed to a big wooden beam that is scheduled to be delivered Monday. That beam is what the top of the greenhouse will be fastened to.
(It will be easier to see when the beam is installed.)
Fingers crossed. We will be properly impressed if it all goes smoothly.

it’s moving right along
Yes, it’s good to get this far.
That should work good!
Fingers crossed they measured well. 😀
Fingers crossed but looks good!
It’s hopeful, but not guaranteed. It could be a big problem if they don’t have the beam ready when the installer wants to come. We’ll know a lot more Monday (hopefully).
WOW.
you won’t be the only ones who are impressed! 😀
We all hope they can pull it off!
What an interesting project!
Yes, it’s fun to watch.
