Why the Plow Extension?

To minimize incidents like this:

An even bigger concern is this narrow strip of road with a steep drop off. (All the trees burned in the 2011 fire.)

The extension means the plow can push more snow down the hill while the wheels of the truck stay on the road.

Those did not look like fun times!

Yep, that extension is definitely a handy thing to have. The ditches are bad enough but that drop off looks pretty scary.

  4. Have you had enough snow to plow yet this year? We have enough to turn everything white except on the roads which turned to black ice. A very early winter for us.

Hope the extension works. The theory is good.

No, not nearly enough to plow yet. We used to get snowed out around Thanksgiving, but except for last year we’ve been having dry winters. Andy watches the weather forecasts a lot.

  5. agree hope the extn works…because without some tree buffer, dangerous…

It’s a long time since I spent anytime like this in the snow. But I can remember once, having to put on chains on my tires by myself, on the way to work. Needless to say, I wrecked a nice jacket doing that!
