Andy watering his first row of radishes on November 9th:
Picture of the radish from that row that Andy brought home yesterday, a month later:
He thinks we have to be patient. I’m guessing they will never do well because the greenhouse is too warm for them right now. I hope he’s right.
Either way it’s fun to watch.

oh no…you will need to cover the entire floor to get a meal for you both! However, that one will add flavour π And at least you know plants are possible…
Mainly itβs fun to play around.
Maybe you can start a new fad. The skinny radish.
Or radish greens?
well… it’s red and green! just right for Christmas. π XO
Good thinking!
At least it is something to watch grow, but I do hope they continue to grow so well they surprise you both!
Thanks. It may take a while. π
Now that’s size radish I could get into. I really don’t like them. LOL
π
BOL at Tammy’s comment. We aren’t sure we would like radishes, but Mom says they make a great addition to her salads.

I hope hers are bigger than ours. π
I think radish greens are a great idea, and probably better tasting than kale!
I had never thought of eating them, but apparently they’re very nutritious. I’m looking forward to trying them. I do buy a combination of kale, chard, and spinach and eat it almost every day —lightly microwaved then pureed. Not my favorite taste, but it’s easy to eat and good for the bones and everything else.
Kale! Now there’s a plant that deserves to die.
Actually a couple of years ago I had Andy plant some kale in the remains of our old greenhouse. It did die. π
That’s a very small radish, but then it’s only a month old. I think radishes need at least several months to grow to their proper size?
