Never a Dull Moment

I was going to use an old cartoon stored on Flickr for today’s post. Instead Flickr won’t let me access it. Never a dull moment. Maybe tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

OK, I figured it out:

Having a good attitude helps! (I still don’t understand why I had no trouble yesterday but suddenly did today, but that’s life. Constantly changing.)

I have days like that, too. And have people that have trouble commenting on my blog…asking for word verification, and I have had that turned off forever.

I know attitude makes a world of difference….I always think of my boss…he always had huge plans for what I was going to do…so much so that his wife would say ‘Don! Rose is only one person!’ But that was okay, I knew where we were headed, and it was not like he really expected it to be done in one day.

I wish everyone could have had bosses like them at one point in their life.

He sounds like a great boss to work for, you believed in what you were doing and apparently he appreciated you. That means a lot.

Great example of what I believe, that the words we use to ourselves makes all the difference. Of course, that word use also can wreck havoc with reality and is often used to avoid the truth, too.

    • Jean says:

One of may favorite definitions of acceptance is, “The willingness to perceive reality.” The trick isn’t to live in a fantasy world, it’s to try to see things clearly then choose our response.

It’s all in how you look at things. Good cartoon, glad you were able to figure out how to use it.

Yes, since I switched computers it’s easier to access my cartoons from Flickr than from the external hard drives I’ve stored them on. Yesterday wasn’t as easy as I had hoped. — so what else is new.

So much for me renewing my Flickr Pro subscription for two more years. 😀

So true! How we frame our emotions does make a difference.

LOL! I confess. I’m glad they didn’t let you use it.
I like your OWN drawn cartoon better! you haven’t shown any of yours in a long time. 😀 XO
and yes… I love the sentiment of it too! like Michael says… it’s all in the semantics! lol

    • Jean says:

Actually I was trying to access this cartoon from my own Flickr account —that’s one place I’m storing them. But life is often not as simple as we would like. 🙂

  6. I’ve had some issues with my computing as well, recently. Some of it I’ve not understood why – but the next day, all seems normal. Facebook keeps wanting to show me a new format they are showcasing…I just hope when it comes, it’s not difficult. WordPress seems set on me selling my wares…

Computer (Climate) Change mode or something along those lines…

A good bit of advice. Though too much excitement can sometimes be as hard to bear as tension!
