I was impressed by this young man.
The speech reminds me of Fred Rogers. In 2002 he was invited to the White House to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He told them that he couldn’t make it because the date was July 9th. That was his 50th wedding anniversary and he would be spending it with his wife.

Thank you FOR sharing…left out that word!
He was right on, wasn’t he? 🙂
He has a bright future ahead. Thanks for sharing his words.
Yes, he is going to do well.
Wow, that was a dynamic speech. That young man has a very bright future. Thank you for sharing.
That’s one of the best speeches I’m ever heard. It was short, packed a punch, and his delivery was perfect. I would love to find out what he eventually does.
I agree with your last reply. I would also like to see what he does!
he’s gained some wisdom at a very young age. thanks for posting his speech.
I’m glad you enjoyed it too. 🙂
it depends…I ponder that he had the podium to say a lot of inspirational things – and he may go on to be “somebody” – but then he may not…I actually stopped it at 4.29 because I realised “it depends”…
sorry to put a dampener on your replies…
He was very skilled at giving a speech for someone his age. The whole point of the speech was don’t push to “be somebody.” It was about leading a meaningful life. He gave a great speech and looked like he was enjoying himself. That bodes well.
What a wonderful speech. Thanks for sharing
I’m glad you liked it too.
he is a good speaker and will go far.
Maybe not “far”. I’m guessing he will make good choices and will lead a rich, fulfilling life.
