Things are still progressing.
The corn is getting taller.
We now have two tomatoes instead of one. (The second, smaller one is slightly down and to the right of the bigger one.)
And there are more tomato blossoms on the plant.
I gave Andy a little paintbrush, so he is pollinating the flowers.
that’s absolutely awesome – and especially since it’s not quite summer yet – outdoors…
Yes, the contrast is amazing.
Yayyy!
this is wonderful.
I wonder if the corn will get as high as an elephant’s eye? like in the song!
It better not! The glass roof there isn’t that high off the ground, and we picked the corn because the stalks were shorter than most.
This is so much fun to watch…now I am really getting curious about the corn.
So are we! It’s an experiment and we don’t know how it will turn out. I’m like you, it’s fun to watch.
We are so enjoying seeing all the growing happening there, and at the same time, we are wishing we had a garden in our yard to keep us stocked with fresh veggies.
I’m not sure how stocked we will be, but it sure is fun to watch them grow.
This post makes me realize I can’t wait for fresh tomatoes and corn too!!
It won’t be that long now before they appear in stores.
Your crops are doing so well!
Some of them. On the other hand, only one carrot seed germinated and started to grow. The trick is to sow a lot of seeds and see what comes up.
The corn and tomatoes look fantastic. Just looking at the tomato plant makes me want a tomato sandwich 🙂
I love good tomatoes!
please do a post on how to pollinate with a brush, our bees are gone and we need to do a little. tomatos grow so quickly. yum when they get red
Andy doesn’t use these techniques, but apparently they work:
