Patience and Fortitude are the names of the lions guarding the entrance to the New York Public library. A good reminder for us all.

Yes it is a good reminder and I love that they have on mask. New York was the hardest hit with the virus

  2. Ann Thompson says:

Excellent names for the lions. Two qualities that everyone could use a little more of.

  3. Trying to apply those words, a little difficult at times… I assume not many thought about those lions or their names before this year.

  4. Ginny Hartzler says:

This was a great idea to put masks on them. Especially considering their names!

  5. Cindi says:

Well, if I do say so myself, I’ve got Fortitude…
    But ZERO Patience
    :/

  6. tammy j says:

    perfect!

  7. I am happy to learn their names. Good choices for any time. Did not realize the virus could spread to the felines of this world.

  8. Hootin' Anni says:

I’ve seen photos of even stuffed animals with face coverings. In this world turmoil (not just pandemic)…those two virtues should be top notch considerations.

  9. Rose says:

I like their names…wish I had more patience, sometimes.

  10. How about Courage?

Do I ever need loads of Courage, right now, on more than one front….

    • Jean says:

Yes! One of my favorite mantras used to be, “I have all the courage I need.” It helped a lot when scary things were happening. Now one of them is, “Play your part well and let go of the results.” Another is, “The quality of our lives depends on how we focus our energy and our attention.”
