Otter Pups

Trainers at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago spent eight hours making frozen krill, clam, fish, squid and shrimp look like dishes from a typical Thanksgiving dinner for two rescue otter pups.

Do you think it was for the otters that they did all that work?

Here’s a video of a rescue pup in Vancouver. It is well taken care of too.

This is so cool! And so much fun watching them eat it. I adore otters, especially the Short Clawed ones. There is nothing much cuter than a baby otter.

Well the workers may have made that Thanksgiving dinner for their own enjoyment but the otters looked they were pretty happy with it.
They are so cute and fun to watch.

Sometimes we find tv programs, set at Zoos, and return to the wild places, where the caregivers are so wonderful….. We love such programs. -smile-

    OMGOSH.
the first time I fell in love with otters I was just a child.
Walt Disney did a show on them showing that they LOVED sliding down a hill in the snow. they played like kids! they would scramble back up the hill and slide down again! I fell in love with them and have loved everything about them since. the sea otters as well as the other kind that Disney did!
I didn’t know that the babies float by nature though. that’s wonderful!
I thought it wonderful too that the grown otters hold hands to stay close and be able to sleep without floating away! so many wonderful things!
thanks for this fabulous post! xoxo
