At the end of Tempi’s last post she wrote, “Stay safe and keep smiling.” I can do that!
It reminds me of a song I sometimes mentally sang when I was using the weight machines at the Y. Here’s one rendition of it:
It isn’t any trouble
Just to S-M-I-L-E
It isn’t any trouble
Just to S-M-I-L-E
So smile when you’re in trouble,
It will vanish like a bubble
If you’ll only take the trouble
Just to S-M-I-L-EIt isn’t any trouble
Just to L-A-U-G-H
(or ha-ha-ha-ha laugh)
It isn’t any trouble
Just to L-A-U-G-H
So laugh when you’re in trouble,
It will vanish like a bubble
If you’ll only take the trouble
Just to L-A-U-G-HIt isn’t any trouble
Just to G-R-I-N, grin
It isn’t any trouble
Just to G-R-I-N, grin
So grin when you’re in trouble
It will vanish like a bubble
If you’ll only take the trouble
Just to G-R-I-N, grin!
As you may have noticed, I have unsophisticated tastes in music, but the song always cheered me up and energized me.

giggling here…
although for some reason, part of today has been “stable” – I said someone the other day that wobbliness at times is “alternate days” – so this morning when I realised that, I had a fleeting thought to go “out” – then I noticed it was starting to rain – oops maybe today isn’t the day…
I hope your wobbliness starts being predictable. That would help a lot in making plans
I think Iβd pick Dance Monkey to work out to.
Hereβs a link with the lyrics-

Many people have done their own versions of the song
But, I really think youβd prefer this one! LOL!-

The main thing is to find out what works for us. π
That’s a familiar tune – the grands learned something very similar in preschool. A good message for all and so easy to do.
It’s catchy. I didn’t realize they taught it to kids… I learned about it from the 1991 book J’Arm for the Health of It: ‘Conducting’ and Other Easy Things to Do to Keep Fit, Feel Better, and Raise Your Endorphin Level. As I recall it came with a cassette tape. It was fun, and I may do a bit of “conducting” for variety now that I’m exercising at home.
I don’t know this song. Songs like this are fun, and can take us back to simpler days. I like lullabies as well. One example of a modernistic one is the Beatles Golden Slumbers.
Apparently most parents don’t sing lullabies to their children now. How sad is that? π
i have never heard these words, but do recognize the tune, mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord, so now i have that in my head. the words are good for these days and times for sure

-clapping hands- I used to go to a gym toooooo! Used weight machines, and free weights and treadmill. Loved the free weights.
Stopped, when our first grand daughter and mommy/daddy moved back here…. When she was about 1 1/2 years of age. And took care of her, from then on. And all summers too.
It was fun, the gym, while it lasted. -smile- Nice memory.
Yes, I don’t miss it, but I felt sad to stop paying after 24 years. I do have some free weights and resistance bands here…along with a NordicTrack treadmill so I get plenty of exercise.
Unsophisticated or not … I like! Perfect for these times.
Here’s another catchy tune, a blog friend in the UK shared:

Thank you! I love it. ♥
my all time favorite is The Bare Necessities from the Jungle Book!
I know every word and still sing it often when I do housework or anything.
it’s wonderful. π

The Bare Necessities? LOL! But of course!
A song about minimalism sung by a cute bear
xo
I like that one too!
Am I the only one besides you who remembers that song? It perked me right up. Thanks.
I’m glad you had heard it too. π
What a cute song.
The interesting thing is I learned it from a cassette and book designed for adults.
Now I’ve got the earworm going!
Good! π
