Happy New Year!!! Its been way too long since I stalked your blog! 🙂
But what a fun post, could otters be any cuter?! There’s a local Wildlife Rehab group that has a page on Facebook that takes in the injured animals and will post the videos when they rerelease a critter back into the wild after they’ve healed – almost always where they were found – but I love to see them free again and know that they’ve been given a second chance.
I used to say that otters were my favorite animal….and I still do like them. They are just so cute. However! I saw a video of an otter attacking someone and wow! was it ever vicious! Now I favor sloths & hedgehogs:)
I love the dedication people who save animals have for their cause.
Yes, it takes a lot of work and patience.
How amazing it would be to be a part of something like this.
Yes, to work at something that makes such a big difference.

The tricky part is to keep them wild and to give them the skills to survive.
They are so adorable! i know when you raise the pups, you have to do everything for them, even groom their fur. I do wish their count was way higher!
Apparently grooming is essential to survival. Without it the pups would sink and drown.
That’s amazing to hear that more than half are now decedants of the rescued/released otters!!
The rescuers have been doing a great job. 🙂

😀 Here’s a BBC Two video of otters killing a caiman:
They are so sweet.
That’s really sad about the low number of them.
They are doing a lot better now than they were when they almost became extinct…their fur was so luxurious it was highly prized.
Adorable! I’ve watched this for the third time, and pretty sure that’s a giggle she made (at 02:03). I’d have a hard time NOT bonding with them.
Yes. 🙂
They are cute….

Re: Your question on my blog…
I don’t have a smart phone. We still have just old flip tops. -smile- Since we only take with us, in car… For safety sake.
I remember that you have a smart phone, from your son in law maybe? And you love it, just for photos.
I just looked… And nearly had a “conniption.” The prices!!!! On least expensive but reliable even!!!! -fanning self- LOL
😀 Let us know what you end up with. Fingers crossed you find a camera you like.
Oh, I so loved this…and the other one, too really. I could sure volunteer at a place like that.
It’s a lot of work, but it would be so rewarding.
