I Prefer Deer and Elk

Apparently this sea lion came upstream looking for food and got a bit lost. It was later returned to the water.

We sometimes have problems with deer and elk on the roads up in the mountains…we’re careful not to overdrive our headlights at night just in case there are some on the road. But once they see us they, sometimes slowly, move out of our way.

no water anywhere! I’m glad it was rescued and not hit or killed by a car. xo

My son-in-law wrecked more than one car running into deer on the road in Colorado. Idiot!

  7. I saw this on Facebook and wondered if he got back to where he/she belonged. Just a crazy image!

What a sight that would be!

well this is for sure a sight I have never seen.. poor baby, i wonder how he got there.. animals in the road are dangerous for the animal and the drivers. our friend died from a collision with a boar hog, he was riding an ATV really fast at midnight on a dirt road, going from his house to his brothers house a mile away… it killed him and the hog.. but it took 6 months for him to die, 3 months in a coma. sorry i know this is depressing but we need to know to be careful

Thanks for the story. The worst part is the lingering death, and you’re right, no over driving your ability to stop when driving on roads where there are big animals around.

  10. Now, _THAT_ is a unique sight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Flipping satnav. This is meant to be water but it’s a frigging road in the middle of nowhere.”

seals and such sea animals are often here…some try to take up residence in neighbours. All get a ride back to their own place…
