Not All Changes Are Bad

My old 19-inch TV in my study, which I use for streaming videos while I use my treadmill, gave up the ghost last week so I ordered a new 22-inch TV. It only has one HDMI input, but that’s fine for using my Roku streaming device, and it weighs less than seven pounds…an important consideration.

It cost less than my old one and is a lot easier to use. My old one didn’t remember settings, this one does, and the picture and view angles are better. All in all a great improvement. Not all changes are bad. 🙂

Just to show you how un-technological I am, I have no idea what HDMI input or Roku streaming are!!!! But so glad you like your new TV. They have gotten much less expensive these days. Saw a lovely big one at Wal-Mart the other day for under $300. I thought that was a great deal! And you are right…not all changes are bad (although I do tend to not like too much change…and the last year has been a whole lot more change than I ever wanted!!!)

Good for you, it looks nice!

  3. Certainly things are improving and your new TV looks great – if it does the job, then it’s a keeper.

I’m sitting here this evening in an “all cool living room” – I’ll write about it later this week, but heat pump with different settings installed today – Cool, Heat, Dehumidifier, Fan with addition of Auto. Supposed to only be for living room, but I think it will go around into bedroom – hoping air will circulate that far, but even if not – big improvement for my sanity…

New tenancy rules have made that possible and it seems like an excellent brand has been selected….

I’m so happy for you! We have an air conditioner in the living room and it makes a big difference in the summer. I sometimes use a fan to blow cool air into my study. 🙂

I have a tv with only one HDMI input and like you, that’s ok with me because that’s all I need. Looks like a nice one

I was happy when it stopped working, and that it was easy to get another small TV. A few years ago most of them were 32″ or larger.

    Sounds cool!

The only place to put our treadmill was in the living room, where we have a large TV that we won as a door prize almost a year ago. However, watching it while walking would put a strain on my neck because, with our living room layout, the treadmill cannot directly face the TV. My solution is to place my iPad on the treadmill’s book-holder ledge. It uses wifi for streaming so ni HDMI cable needed.

My NordicTrack treadmill doesn’t have a book holder, otherwise I would have just used that. I actually used my iPad while I was waiting for the new TV to come, but I had to hold it, not nearly as nice.

Nice! Often, the best gifts are those we give ourselves.

As you say, not all changes are bad. Just after we moved to Belfast we won a TV in a raffle. It’s still going strong 21 years later. It’s an old cathode ray TV but it does the job!

How lucky! I’m happy for you. We had a CRT TV for years and years but had to get rid of it when they switched from analog to digital TV signals and the converters wouldn’t work with the CRT. Sigh….

I am glad it worked out for the best…
