We’ll Have to See

I received an email saying the senior center will be giving the vaccine (Moderna) January 30 and 31 and to be sure we have registered and have our official registration number. Presumably if they have enough vaccines we will be notified of our appointment. If not, maybe later?

When I check on their site, using our registration numbers to double check, I get this message:

We will have to see. I’ll keep you posted.

Like in other parts of the country, I fear there’s lots of confusion surrounding the administration. As yet, I’m unable to locate an Alabama sign-up for those under 75. Cross fingers!

Sadly, your state AL and my state GA are evidently at the bottom of the list (literally) when it comes to giving out the vaccines. I don’t know why. There is a website (can’t remember it now) where you can see how states are doing. I was told the folks???(govt???) in Atlanta are hoarding ours. So thankful we got ours a week ago.

Cheerful Monk, hope you get yours soon. We got Moderna. You wait 28 days before getting your second injection. I’m just praying nothing will happen with that one!!!

      Good luck, Myra!

      Cheri,
I’m glad you were able to get yours. Thanks for the good wishes. 🙂

YES. holding only GOOD thoughts that it will happen!
it almost seems like a matter of administrative problems rather than lack of vaccine! like they want to make sure there aren’t any distribution glitches?
I mean not just NM… but all over America!
    who knows? XOXO

We have appointments for next Friday but we fully expect the county to run out before then.

Well, DARN! We are having similar problems. I sure hope this administration gets this figured outsoon.

I’ve heard on the news that most states are in a state of confusion – some even throwing doses of the vaccine away ’cause of temperature drop … and there is a less likely chance of the 2nd dose needed?!!

    • Jean says:

Fingers crossed it will be straightened out. NM says the people (health care workers) who got their first shots are already scheduled for their second ones. I think our state is handling it better than some, but who knows.

  6. Ann Thompson says:

I kept hearing how in our area they only had 300 vaccinations. Yet they keep adding on to who is eligible to get it. I just read on facebook that someone got it because his sister works in a nursing home and they were making available to family members of employees.

    • Jean says:

They shouldn’t be adding more people until they have the first ones vaccinated. Fingers crossed it will be straightened out soon.

Right now, our state is doing those in their 70’s…so will be a while before Roger or I either one can get one…my brother is over 70 and his is scheduled for later in February.
